Parklife Metro JV is leading the delivery of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport project, a landmark transport initiative that will link St Marys to Bradfield and seamlessly connect with the new Western Sydney Airport.
This visionary project driven by a joint venture between Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild includes the construction of six new stations, 12 state-of-the-art metro trains, advanced rail systems, and a modern stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills.

The Opportunity:
Employed by Webuild, Parklife Metro is seeking a Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor to join our team based at Orchard Hills.
The Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor is a versatile professional who bridges the gap between site-based community management, corporate communications and public affairs. This role is responsible for translating complex infrastructure delivery into engaging narratives for key stakeholders while maintaining a proactive presence on the ground to mitigate community impacts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide a proactive community engagement relationship to satisfy project requirements and ensure high-quality stakeholder outcomes
- Collaborate with environmental teams to ensure community notifications for impactful works strictly comply with the project’s Conditions of Approval (CoA)
- Coordinate and deliver meetings, doorknocks, and forums, while maintaining a schedule of upcoming activities requiring community notification
- Identify potential stakeholder issues and work with Place Manager, internal teams and the client to develop management strategies to minimise disruption to the community
- Respond to and record stakeholder enquiries, concerns, and complaints in the project database
- Support the Place Manager with the development and implementation of community engagement activities, ensuring engagement initiatives are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered in consultation with relevant project teams
- Coordinate site visits and official tours, ensuring all logistics such as site access, transport, safety equipment, and inductions are managed seamlessly
- Assist in managing and arranging progress photography, filming, and time-lapse requirements, including handling talent releases and safety checks
- Coordinate with external photographers and videographers to ensure high-quality visual documentation of project milestones
- Develop and deliver high-quality external and internal communications tailored for Sydney Metro, parent companies, and internal executives
- In collaboration with the Place Manager and relevant project teams, draft and implement communication and engagement plans to support project activities and initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships across sites that enable the gathering of content from safety and site teams to create compelling updates for newsletters, social media, and project websites, including assisting with the management of a forward-looking milestone and events plan
- Maintain a forward plan of content that promotes project values and positive behaviours across all stakeholder channels
- Ensure all written and visual communications adhere to established brand and style guides
Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related discipline, or relevant industry experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of industry experience, preferably within the infrastructure or construction sector
- Experience in developing communication assets and communication and engagement plans from concept to final execution
- Knowledge of a broad range of activities, including media, social media, events, and publications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of content systems or photography/video retouching
- Experience in working with stakeholders to build engagement and maintain positive working relationships
- A positive attitude with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organisation
- A balanced and flexible approach to supporting both the community engagement and public affairs functions
- Strong organisational skills with a focus on quality standards and deadlines
