Clough currently has an opportunity for highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with an extensive background in Detailed Design to join the Perth Inhouse Engineering team. Reporting to the Chief Electrical Engineer, this role is required to provide electrical engineering design support to projects and tenders.

Your focus will include:

 

  • Maintaining design responsibility

  • Reviewing and approving the work from other engineers

  • Liaising with other disciplines

  • Liaising with the Client and their engineering personnel

  • Liaising with Vendors

  • Liaising with other project functions

 

You will have knowledge in the following essential areas: 

 

  • HV Distribution and Switchboard design for power generation and power distribution systems on facilities

  • LV Switchgear/MCC design for power distribution systems 

  • Transformer sizing, selection and specification for power distribution systems 

  • LV electrical motors and Electrical drives 

  • Packaged equipment 

  • Earthing and lightning protection design 

  • Lighting design 

  • Classification of hazardous areas and design/selection of equipment for hazardous area use

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • Proven experience in a Senior role within the energy, mining and or utilities market sectors.

  • Extensive experience in Detailed Design

  • Exposure to EPC type lump sum and reimbursable projects

  • Your ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team will ensure your success in this role

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering

  • Hazardous area knowledge and competency is preferred
