Design Expert

For our project start-up team based in Rome and focused on projects in Saudi Arabia, we are looking for a Design Expert.

He/she will report to the Technical Director, will manage the design consultant engaged for all project disciplines. This will include overall liaison with the consultant team, schedule and review of design progress design interfaces, document management and commercial management of the design team related to the scope of work in compliance with the construction works schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance in respect of QHSE programs;
• Work/Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary design team;
• Work with a multi-disciplinary construction team;
• Manage RFI and Design drawing production;
• Ensure compliance with project agreement and PSOS;
• Undertake technical and feasibility studies including site investigations;
• Ensure compliance with the standards of construction designs, plans and specifications;
• Ensure that the plans meet the guidelines, the requirement of building codes and other regulations;
• Identify contract document conflicts and recommend solution;
• Assist the Technical Director;
• Prepare all the reports required to fulfill project requirements;
• Perform all other related tasks that will help complete the project.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or all other equivalent training;
• Excellent English knowledge, both written and spoken;
• At least between 3 and 5 years of experience in a similar capacity;
• Experience with civil and E design/construction work is preferable;
• Experience with industrial buildings;
• Good initiative, attention to details
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent MS Excel and MS Word skills, Autocad
• Available to travel to Saudi Arabia.
