We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Supervisor to join the New Women and Babies Hospital Team in Perth! In this role, you are responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety, and maintaining quality standards while effectively managing teams and resources.

 

This position is based at our Osborne Park site.

WeBuild is delivering the design and construction of the Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. This landmark project will replace the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital and expand services and choice for women, newborns and families, delivering lasting benefits and a positive legacy for the people of Western Australia.

Your focus will include:

 

  • Ensure all construction work is adequately planned in advance of the actual work commencing by engaging with subcontractors and ensuring that all pre-start requirements and activities are complete.
  • Support and promote a culture and agreed behaviours in HSE and Quality by setting clear standards and acting as a role model to others
  • Coordinate daily prestart meetings to ensure subcontractors comply with the safety management plan, any hazards or logistics changes, Safe Work Method Statements (SMWS), and Permits to Work.
  • Assess areas of work for hazards, and collaborate with relevant project team members to develop and implement measures to control those hazards and associated risks
  • Engage with the Webuild Construction Workers and subcontractor workers to ensure that productivity levels are high and resources are used effectively on the project
  • Understand the industrial and workplace relations management plans for the project and ensure that union representatives comply with Right of Entry requirements under relevant legislation, Codes and guidelines.

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • Qualifications – Degree in Building, Construction, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a Tier 1 in the commercial construction industry – health sector highly regarded
  • Hands-on experience in structure, façade and services
  • Collaborative approach – able to build relationships across project teams, trades and clients
  • Proactive attitude, ability to drive and deliver project outcomes
