Clough is in alliance with Jacobs and the Water Corporation to deliver the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for the upgrade of the Woodman Point Water Treatment Facility - a significant sustainable infrastructure project for the Perth community, reducing waste and emissions.
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, we are seeking Project Engineers to provide high level engineering support at our Woodman Point project in Henderson, circa 30 km south of Perth.
Project Engineer - Mechanical
- Provide day-to-day engineering support to site construction teams for mechanical works
- Review IFC drawings and resolve site technical queries (RFIs/TQs) related to piping, supports, valves and equipment installation
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and multidisciplinary teams (structural, electrical, I&C) to resolve construction interfaces and issues
- Ensure all installation activities comply with project specifications, standards and approved procedures
- Support work pack (FIWP) development, ensuring all drawings, ITPs, and documentation are complete and available for execution
- Coordinate tie-ins, system boundaries, and shutdown requirements with relevant stakeholders
- Assist in managing subcontractor and vendor performance, including progress tracking and technical coordination
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation, including progress updates, design changes and site instructions
- Support development and execution of pre-commissioning activities
- Ensure timely closure of punch list items and support final system acceptance.
Project Engineer – Piping Testing Engineer
- Develop and implement a site-wide piping testing strategy, including pressure, leak, and functional testing aligned with project and commissioning requirements
- Prepare and manage piping test packs and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with system boundaries and as-built drawings
- Coordinate testing activities with construction, QA/QC, commissioning teams, and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution and interface management
- Support the safe execution of testing activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards and permit-to-work systems
- Monitor testing progress, identify and resolve issues and ensure proper reinstatement of systems following testing
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and documentation, including test results, inspection records and progress updates
- Facilitate the handover of tested systems to the commissioning team and support punch list close-out activities.

What you will bring to the team:
- Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognised tertiary institution
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or working towards chartership (preferred, not essential)
- Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia (desirable)
- At least 7 years of relevant engineering experience in the oil & gas, energy, water, mining, or heavy industrial sectors
- Proven track record in project engineering and delivery across all project phases, design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning
- Experience in multi-discipline EPC, coordinating efficiently between design, vendors, and site teams
- Demonstrated experience in on-site Mechanical / Piping testing, including forward planning of up to six weeks and providing weekly reporting on cost and schedule performance
- Demonstrate a personal visible commitment to Alliance HSSE Policies, Group Zero Harm initiatives and strategies and HSSE management system requirements and expectations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Alliance policies and processes
- Highly developed communication skills to motivate, inspire and persuade
- Strong attention to detail, with a strong client focus.
