We have an exciting opportunity for an ER/IR Advisor to join the K2 Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively provide specialist employee and industrial relations support to the K2 Project, supporting compliance with enterprise agreements, industrial instruments, legislation and site IR protocols..
This role will require frequent site visits to Kwinana.
Clough is delivering the design and construction of the Kwinana Gas Power Generation 2 project (K2), a new 220 MW gas fired power station to be built in Kwinana, south of Perth. K2 will deliver fast start, flexible generation to provide critical backup capacity that supports the increasing application of renewable energy across Western Australia.

Your focus will include:
- Provide day-to-day ER/IR support to site leadership, including advice on employee relations matters, discipline, grievances and performance management.
- Support implementation and compliance with enterprise agreements, site IR protocols and industrial instruments.
- Assist with union engagement activities, including meetings, correspondence and issue resolution under direction of the HR / IR Manager.
- Support management of industrial issues, disputes and claims, including preparation of documentation and records.
- Monitor workforce compliance with IR requirements, including hours of work, rosters, allowances and site conditions.
- Support investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes, ensuring procedural fairness and documentation standards are met.
What you will bring to the team:
- Advanced communication skills and an ability to build sustainable and collaborative relationships with stakeholders in often in challenging environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sound industrial relations principles, practices and their corresponding interaction with business performance.
- A data driven approach to decision making and advice, adept at collecting, analysing and distilling a broad range of information to enable considered decision making in complex situations.
- Proven experience as an IR/ER or workplace relations specialist with exposure to complex industrial environments.
- Enhanced problem-solving abilities, complimented by the discipline to ensure decisions compliment the overall business objectives
- Demonstrated experience in executing and driving strategies, business standards and practice to ensure compliance with statutory and government standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of ER/IR experience in large-scale Resources, Energy, EPC or heavy industrial/construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of labour laws, industrial relations frameworks, and employment regulations in Australia.
- Proven experience handling union negotiations, grievance procedures, and labour contractor management.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure site environment with diverse workforce dynamics.
