We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Coordinator to join the New Women and Babies Hospital Project Team in Perth. Working closely with the Design Manager, this role will support the coordination and delivery of project design activities to ensure quality, safety, program, and commercial objectives are achieved.

WeBuild is delivering the design and construction of the Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. This landmark project will replace the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital and expand services and choice for women, newborns and families, delivering lasting benefits and a positive legacy for the people of Western Australia.

Your focus will include:
- Supporting the Design Manager in planning, coordinating, and controlling project design delivery to meet quality, schedule, and commercial objectives
- Coordinating design activities across internal project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless integration between design, construction, planning, and environmental disciplines
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress and outputs of designers to ensure alignment with project requirements and milestones
- Assisting with the design approval process by coordinating reviews, managing information flow, and supporting the resolution of design issues
- Managing and monitoring subcontractors with design responsibility to ensure scope, quality, and delivery requirements are met
- Supporting client and stakeholder communication by assisting with design coordination and expectation management
- Contributing to the development, tracking, and reporting of design budgets, schedules, and project documentation in conjunction with the Design Manager
What you will bring to the team:
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline
- Experience supporting design coordination on medium to large‑scale construction projects (health, commercial, or education projects highly regarded)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A sound understanding of design documentation, construction methodology, and statutory or regulatory requirements
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
