We have an exciting opportunity for a Aboriginal Engagement Advisor to join the New Womens and Babies Hospital Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively will be accountable for the development and delivery of the Sustainability and Environmental management framework within this project.

WeBuild is delivering the design and construction of the Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. This landmark project will replace the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital and expand services and choice for women, newborns and families, delivering lasting benefits and a positive legacy for the people of Western Australia

Your focus will include:

 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (including HR, Community, Subcontracts, Procurement) to oversee and ensure direct and subcontractor compliance with Aboriginal Participation Plan project targets.
  • Implement and manage the Aboriginal Participation Plan, including tracking and reporting key metrics.
  • Offer expert advice and specialist support on Aboriginal engagement.
  • Identify, engage and integrate capable Aboriginal Businesses into the project’s supply chain. Monitoring Indigenous procurement spend and providing monthly reporting data to the client.
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with broader PLM project team to align with evolving project / program objectives.
  • Support the design, development and implementation of the project’s Culture Awareness training program.
  • Communicate and consult with local Aboriginal communities and stakeholder groups to foster Aboriginal participation across the PLM and subcontractor workforces.

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Proven ability to deliver clear and effective verbal and written communication across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in managing work schedules, timelines, and resources to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both within a team environment and autonomously.
  • Ambitious and driven to succeed in fast-paced and dynamic work settings.
