Webuild is hiring a Cost Controller who will work in the financial control team of the Sotralink Project (Sotra Connection), one of the most significant Norwegian infrastructural interventions, which is being carried out as a PPP, to improve the Bergen-Sotra Island connection.
The work foresees constructing a new road system measuring approximately 9 km, including over 12 km of tunnels, bridges and viaducts. The project presents high-level geo-technical and tunnelling content, with rock excavations in a complex environmental context. Webuild participates as industrial partner in designing and building the work, in an international highly structured context.
The resource will be involved in supporting cost control, economic-financial analysis and work advancement monitoring activities, particularly referring to underground works and geotechnical matters related to the project.
The role is a professional growth opportunity in a structured international context, closely working with the Cost&Risk Control, Operation&Risk Control, Engineering and Production teams.
Main responsibilities:
• Supporting the preparation of the project budget and its monitoring in time
• Analysis and control of site direct and indirect costs, focusing on the tunnelling and underground works construction activities
• Monitoring the work's physical and economic status (cost vs progress)
• Supporting drawing-up of the project's periodic reporting
• Analysing the differences between planned and end costs
• Collaborating with the Geo-technical Engineering, Production and Procurement Teams to correctly value activities in financial terms
• Supporting managing variants, claims and change orders
• Using the most used cost and project planning tools
• Industrial costs control and planning process connected to creating works, ensuring a systemic outlook and effectiveness, coordinating with the Operations Controllers.
• Activities aimed at promoting a comparison and the convergence between the analysis of the industrial effectiveness and the Group's economic-financial indicators
• Preparing the Cost Control summary reports and sending them to General Management in accordance with the defined timing.
• Promoting the continuous improvement of processes, methods and tools, with the aim of cost control and project control transformation
Requirements:
• Degree (three-year degree or MsC) in Geo-technical Engineering, Civil Engineering - geo-technical address, Infrastructural Engineering or similar
• Basic knowledge of:
Applied Geotechnics
Tunnelling and underground works
Infrastructure-related construction methods
• Project financial control related themes interests
• Knowledge of financial and accounting instruments;
• Good use of Excel and financial management software;
• Prone for teamwork and to communicate effectively;
• Excellent Italian;
• Good English; Knowing other languages is a plus;
• Available to move abroad and motivated towards an international career.
