As part of organizational development, Webuild is seeking a Senior Planner for its international projects, with an operational on-site assignment.
Role
Reporting to the project's Technical Service Management, the candidate will be involved in work planning and scheduling activities. They will be responsible for ensuring the correct planning, scheduling and monitoring of project progress, ensuring compliance with contractual deadlines and optimisation of resources.
Main responsibilities
- Develop and update the baseline work programme, defining sequences, resources and milestones according to the Critical Path Method (CPM);
- Monitor the physical and temporal progress of activities, analysing deviations and performance (Earned Value);
- Associate each activity in the baseline programme with the relevant price list items (BoQ loaded) to obtain the temporal distribution of revenues and cash flow and the related resources (manpower, equipment, materials) in order to identify requirements and proceed with the necessary levelling/optimisation;
- Identify risks, problems, delays and related impacts followed by programme simulations to identify the necessary mitigations and recovery plans to support Project Management;
- Integrate the project WBS for changes during construction;
- Support company departments (Contract, Cost Control, Purchasing, Production) in their respective detailed planning activities (disputes, purchasing plan, lean planning, subcontractor programmes, etc.), verifying their compliance with the baseline programme;
- Prepare progress reports for Project Management and the Client.
Requirements
Education: Degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil Engineering;
Experience: 5-7 years of previous experience in the role, preferably in the large complex infrastructure sector;
Languages: Fluent knowledge of English;
Other: Excellent knowledge of the main planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, TILOS, advanced Excel). Knowledge of the main project management methodologies (WBS, Gantt, Earned Value, CPM, S-Curve). Good knowledge of the Office package and Autocad software is also required.
