As part of organizational development, for its international projects, Webuild is seeking a Senior Buyer reporting to the Project Procurement Management.

Role

The candidate will conduct market research on the possible supply needs of company goods or services and will liaise with potential suppliers in order to find the best technical and economic proposal for purchases, coordinating with the Project Procurement Manager.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Comply with Webuild Group policies and procedures.
  • Support the Material Manager in defining the strategy.
  • Define the Vendor List, prepare requests for quotations to be sent to suppliers and manage commercial and contractual negotiations with identified suppliers, pursuing savings, synergies, quality excellence and time optimisation.
  • Perform cost analyses, comparisons and evaluations of offers, also ensuring that they are technically verified by the requesting Corporate Departments/Operations Departments. Also prepare summary tables of final offers and recommendations in accordance with procedures.
  • Draft the terms and conditions of Purchase Orders, with the support of the Legal Department and the Contracts Department, also coordinating with the requesting Departments.
  • Manage supplier relations in accordance with the company's Code of Ethics, its Organisation, Management and Control Model and its Anti-Corruption Model.
  • Ensure the delivery of the Project within the required time, cost, quality, safety, environmental and community constraints.
  • Ensure that results are achieved in line with Project deadlines.

 

 

 

Requirements

Education: Degree in Engineering or similar;

Experience: At least 5-10 years of experience on projects of significant size and complexity;

Languages: Advanced English (oral and written communication with international clients).
