Procurement Specialist | Bidding & Project Start-up
Webuild is looking for a Bidding Support & Project Start up Specialist for its Milan office to join the Global Supply Chain Department.
Key responsibilities:
Offer Study Phase:
- Identify, under the supervision of the Head of Bidding Support & Project Start-up, suppliers and contractors to be involved in market analyses required to define offer estimates, in alignment with the Vendor strategy;
- Prepare and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) in coordination with Technical, Regional Procurement, and Global Commodity teams;
- Support the Head of Bidding Support & Project Start-up in defining, negotiating, and managing pre-bid agreements with strategic suppliers, partners e relevant stakeholders
- Analyze and evaluate supplier offers, coordinate technical reviews, and prepare summary tables and recommendations for management approval.
Operational Unit Start-up Phase:
- Support the preparation of procurement budgets and the offer reorder process, coordinating with Regional Procurement Managers, and Global Commodity Managers to verify and update procurement cost assumptions and awarding/subcontracting strategies;
- Define supplier lists in agreement with Regional Procurement Managers, Global Commodity Managers, and Vendor Management;
- Lead initial commercial and contractual negotiations to achieve cost, quality, and lead-time targets;
- Draft contractual terms and purchase order conditions in coordination with Legal, Contract, and Project teams.
Key skills and qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience in multinational contexts;
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Economics;
- Expertise in market analysis, benchmarking, negotiation, supplier management, and cost driver analysis;
- Knowledge of contractual matters and civil engineering fundamentals;
- Proficient in MS Office, SAP MM, and Business Intelligence tools;
- Fluent in English.
