Buyer - Plant & Equipment Procurement
Webuild is looking for a new resource to join as a Buyer within the Plant & Equipment Procurement function, with 1-3 years' experience in the role. The function is responsible for defining and implementing purchasing and sales strategies for the machinery and plant commodity class, managing the related budget.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supplier List management for the relevant commodity class, consistent with company procedures.
- Inquiries to suppliers and support in commercial and contract negotiations through digital tools and means according to company procedure
- Analysis, comparison and evaluation of bids, with preparation of final tabulations and recommendations, in collaboration with requesting functions.
- Definition of contractual terms and conditions, ensuring that the required authorizations are obtained.
- Market analysis for the sale of plant and machinery: identifying strategic areas, simulating results and scouting potential buyers.
- Direct management of sales negotiations, contract preparation and supervision of regulatory compliance (Code of Ethics, Model 231, anti-corruption regulations).
- Definition and application of strategies for sub-commodities of competence and procurement saving, with dedicated tools and constant interface with the departments involved (Capacity Management, AFC, construction sites).
- Support in the analysis of reporting for the identification and management of any critical issues in procurement processes during the industrialization phase of plants with a view to maintaining contractual delivery dates.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Economics or Engineering;
- Experience of at least 1-3 years in the Procurement area of structured companies, with preference for the Automotive sector;
- Computer skills: Office package (especially Excel and Powerpoint) and SAP;
- Expertise in market analysis and benchmarking, purchasing and sales strategies, negotiation techniques, contracting, and value and cost analysis;
- Fluent knowledge of the English language.
- Willingness to travel EU/EXTRA EU to support procurement activities.
