As part of organizational development, Webuild is seeking a Plant Manager for its international projects, with an operational on-site assignment.
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Reporting functionally to the Global Supply Chain structure managing the Region, and hierarchically within the Project. Provides and manages the Equipment and Plants needed for the project realization, from supply phase to demobilization at the end of the activities. In detail, he does so by cooperating with the main figures of the Corporate and of the Project (Asset and Material Regional Manager, Regional Supply Chain Manager, Project Manager, Operation and Construction Manager, Cost Controller, Safety HSE and Environmental Responsible, Project HR), and External representative (Suppliers, Client, local authorities whenever is needed). In particular he/she is responsible for :
- Collecting and processing technical specifications of the equipment and plants in coordination with Plant and Equipment Department in the Head Office
- Planning, organizing and managing arrival of the equipment and plants, relevant assembly, testing and commissioning and startup of the relevant Maintenance facilities
- Planning, organizing and managing the stock of spare partes needed, in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager
- Providing the correct maintenance to the equipment and plants with a scheduled and traceable methodology
- Coordinating the activities of external shops / maintenance providers
- The optimization of the equipment and plants in terms of performances and cost reduction
- Ensuring compliance with local and Group regulations in force for the equipment and plants with the help of Safety HSE and Environmental Responsible and External representative
- Developing, updating and managing the Masterplan document reporting all the activities concerning Plant and Equipment from startup to the end of the project with the support of Regional Asset and Material Manager, Project Manager and Construction Manager
- Demobilization activities according to the strategy defined in the Master Plan
- Planning, budgeting, organizing all the resources needed according to the Organization Chart in cooperation with Project HR and Regional Asset and Material Manager
- Day by day coordination and supervision of people and all the activities concerning Plant and Equipment maintenance
- Ensuring that all deliverables and reports, all information and analysis are completed and provided accurately and on time to Project Management and HQ Management
- Reporting of the main KPI concerning the Plant and Equipment performance to all the main responsible on the site and region (Project Manager, Regional Asset and Material Manager, Regional Supply Chain Manager)

Ability to prepare and manage budget, cost analysis, business case, improvement plans. Ability to manage cost reduction and optimizations
Education
- Engineering Degree preferred : 3 Years degrees or more (full 5-years master or MBA), Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Plant and Industrial Engineer, Civil Engineer are usual preferences.
- He/she knows at least 2 Languages : English and preferably one between Spanish, French, Italian.
Experience
- Extensive site experience; previous experience in the role of Plant Manager of at least 3 years in the group or similar company
- Experience of site start up managing and demobilization (at least 2-3 years)
- Strong experience in site lay outing and activities planning
- Experience in management of owned and rented equipment and plants (2 years min)
- Extensive experience in managing one of the main typologies of Project Assets : Earthmoving and Mobile Equipment, Batching/Crushing/Precast Plants, Underground Equipment.
- He/she has managed (=developed, planned, implemented, monitored & optimized) Investment Plans and Personnel / Workforce Budgets
Equipment and Plants Maintenance
- Deep and advanced knowledge of Maintenance main concepts : O&M Manual, MTBF, MTTR, Availability, Equipment and Plants Maintenance schedule, Spare Planning and Management and Stock of Spare Management.
- Knowledge of local, applicable Equipment regulation
Software Knowledge
- Microsoft Office package knowledge: advanced level required
- Autocad : Intermediate level (he can open and analyse a technical drawing) is a plus
- SAP: base level (authorization / basic query) is a plus
Efficiency, Effectiveness, Problem Solving
- Good knowledge of Management tools and methodologies such as 5W1H, Ishikawa chart, PDCA process or equivalent is a plus
- Very good and proved ability in Problem solving on the field : ability to manage high stress and emergency situations with structured and methodical approach
- Strong result-orientation is a must
Team Work and Leadership:
- Strong communication oral and written.
- Proactivity in managing the team and in the interaction within the other internal and external function according the need
- Strong leadership and integrity, acts with freedom of information and develops and supports his team in all the technical aspects
- Shows strong energy in managing the team and delivers on time
