Estimating and Methods Analyst - Maternity Leave

We are looking for a Mechanical or Civil Engineer, recent graduate or with minimal experience, to join the Estimates & Methods team at our Milan office, supporting the Bidding Department and contributing to the development of technical-economic analyses and construction methodologies relating to production and service facilities for national and international projects.

The contract offered is a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of tender documents (quantity surveys, drawings, specifications) with a focus on temporary plants.
  • Estimation of direct costs for:
    • concrete mixing, crushing, and prefabrication plants
    • civil engineering and tunnel service plants (ventilation, dewatering, utilities, material distribution)
    • mechanized excavation systems (TBM) and auxiliary plants
  • Comparison of alternative solutions to optimize yields, production cycles, and construction times
  • Contribution to the preparation of technical and economic bids
  • Updating of estimates based on bids from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Collaboration with Procurement and Plant & Equipment for benchmarking and cost comparison
  • Drafting of economic documentation for tenders (BoQ, plant breakdown, investment plan),
  • Support for technical and economic risk analysis.

 

 

 

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering;
  • 0–1 year of experience in a technical field,
  • Interest in cost estimation, project control, and construction methods;
  • Knowledge of cost estimation and control software is considered a plus;
  • Excellent command of MS Office, particularly Excel;
  • Fluent knowledge of English;
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad.
