Webuild is hiring a Plant Manager for its Senque Bridge Project in Lesotho.

 

The candidate will work in the Construction Site Structure, abiding by the objectives that have been set, and according to the methods established by the HQ Material and Plant & Equipment Management, coordinated locally by the relevant Regional Supply Chain Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, managing and maintaining the Investment Plan for the Construction site's Plant & Machinery fleet;
  • Guaranteeing the availability of the Construction site's Plant & Machinery fleet;
  • Guaranteeing that ordinary and extraordinary maintenance activities are carried out quickly and effectively, in compliance with corporate procedures, regulations and applicable provisions including planning and management of spare parts and consumables;
  • Guaranteeing that all technical, maintenance-related and Construction site's Plant & Machinery certification documents are managed correctly, in line with corporate procedures and applicable provisions;
  • Developing strategies to optimize costs, maximize availability and use the Construction site's Plant & Machinery fleet;
  • Providing, identifying technical specifications and configurations needed to correctly start the Construction site Plant & Machinery procurement process;
  • Monitoring that the Construction site's Plant & Machinery works effectively, while detecting, registering and analysing data and relevant indicators, sending summaries and reports to the structures involved in the process, while also identifying, where necessary, improvement plans and corrective measures;
  • Managing the Construction site's Plant & Equipment structure;
  • Managing personnel according to corporate guidelines, in a professional, constructive environment, while guaranteeing teamwork and a spirit of collaboration;
  • Periodically reviewing personnel preparation and performance levels;
  • Guaranteeing adequate tidiness and cleanliness in all areas, both closed and open, managed by the Construction site's Plant & Equipment structure;
  • Collaborating with the Warehouse Manager and all the corporate functions involved, to optimally manage the Spare Parts present in the Construction site's warehouse.
  • Collaborating with Procurement Manager in timely  preparation  and developing necessary requests for the  needs of the Projects.

 

Requirements:

  • 8/10 years' of experience in similar roles in large infrastructure projects as roads, bridges  dam, and hydroelectric projects;
  • Engineering Degree: a Mechanical and Civil Engineering degree, or an equivalent one, is preferable, but not mandatory;
  • Deep technical knowledge of complex plants  and equipment for heavy civils, as concrete batching plant, electric plants and generators, mobile and tower  cranes, bulldozers,  excavators, dumper and tipper truck, grader, drilling machine  etc.
  • Decision-making and correct prioritization skills;
  • Highly results-oriented;
  • Highly prone to Safety related matters;
  • Technical knowledge of Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, connected to typical technologies used in the Construction and Infrastructure Sector;
  • Knowledge of Work Plans, Project Specifications, Machinery Specifications;
  • Structured approach with excellent organizational and time-management skills;
  • Highly sensitive and knowledgeable, in terms of Cost Control and Optimization related matters;
  • Capable of relating with other functions, negotiating and managing relations;
  • Capable of making decisions, while possessing numerical skills;
  • Capable of working under stress and in fast-paced work environments;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Leadership and teamwork skills in complex, multi-cultural structures, with large non-uniform staff numbers;
  • Precise, organized, reliable, and naturally inclined to order, while also offering high-quality work;
  • Excellent English and or Italian ( and advantage).
