We are looking for an AFC Manager for our Senque Bridge project in Lesotho.

 

Responsibility:

The resource will ensure the correct administrative and financial management of the project, in compliance with the laws in force and the instructions and procedures issued by the Operations Controlling department, and other headquarter departments. The Administrative Manager will also manage and coordinate the Chief Accountant, the Warehouse Manager, the General Services Manager, the Personnel Manager, the Cost Control Manager, the Safety Manager, and the Health Service.

Specifically, he/she will deal with:

  • managing and coordinating the project’s administrative and financial aspects;
  • providing all the required economic/administrative data to the management control office;
  • ensuring the preparation of the financial statements, final balances, estimates, economic and financial plans and periodic and extraordinary reports of the project;
  • ensuring a correct setting of the project’s fiscal, currency, customs and corporate issues (and of partner companies) by maintaining the required contacts with the local authorities;
  • ensuring support for preparing tax returns, financial statements and maintain liaison with external auditors;
  • ensuring the performance of administrative obligations in Client relations (issue and collection of invoices on SALs/Certificates, allocation of funds, claims), Subcontractors and Consultants;
  • providing administrative, fiscal and financial information for preparing bids for new contractual projects;
  • managing financial resources according to the guidelines established by the head office and maintaining contacts with the credit institutions used by the Project;
  • managing the administration of personnel according to production requirements and to the project budget;
  • ensuring a proper administrative management of subcontracting activities;
  • ensuring the protection of the project’s assets and in particular of the buildings, machinery, warehouses for which it organizes cost, inventory, usage, destination and disposal detection systems;
  • ensuring site logistics (managing fields, canteens, surveillance, light transport) and general services (office management, cleaning, stationery, messaging, archive);
  • providing the information required to insure the risks.

 

 

Requirements

  • 12-15 years of experience in the international area, preferably in the large complex infrastructures field;
  • Degree in Business Administration, Diploma in Accounting or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of accounting principles (knowledge of IAS/IFRS is preferred);
  • Knowledge of tax and fiscal legislation;
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP and of the main IT packages, particularly Excel / Power Point, is a plus;
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
