The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. 

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Purpose of the Role:

To plan, organise, lead and control site operations for compliance with the construction programme ensuring consistency in terms of, and in order to, ensure safety, cost, time, quality, environmental, community targets are achieved. 

Qualifications:

  • Trade or equivalent in materials batching concrete or equivalent ability
  • White Card
  • C Class Driver’s License

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in civil or tunnelling construction, typically 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording.
  • Experience in Safety, Community and Environmental Management
  • Experience in Quality Management
  • Experience in Planning & Resourcing

  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressure

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in transporting mixing ingredients to make concrete.
  • Directs workers engaged in transferring sand and gravel aggregates by crane or other conveyor from barges trucks to storage piles or bins.
  • Reads specification sheets for defining sizes of aggregates & proportions of cement water required for batch of concrete.

Signals workers to charge mixing drums with specified amounts of ingredients discharge mixed concrete into truck or other conveyor.
