Senior Planning Engineer

Purpose of the Role:
Assist Department Manager and Planning Manager with Project Planning activities that include preparation of Baseline Programme, update of Monthly and Quarterly revisions of programme, what if scenarios for technical & design solutions, Time Impact Analysis and support to the contract / commercial department on various claims, reports and programme presentations.

Qualifications:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar Tertiary Qualification related to the development of infrastructure projects.
• Project Management

Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the Infrastructure Industry in a similar role – preferred
• Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
• Experience in Primavera (P6) & Microsoft Office Suites.
• Experience in MS Project preferred.
• Experience in schedule risk management preferred

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Preparation of Baseline Programme and Revised Baseline Programme as per the Contractual obligations and agreement with the Employer.
• Preparation of Monthly & Quarterly Updates of the contractual, internal and detail programmes along with narrative on the programme updates.
• Preparation of recovery programmes in line with contractual obligations
• Preparation of Internal budget programmes.
• Close coordination with Design & Technical Department and to prepare what-if programme scenarios to check any probable impacts on the programme or any optimizations based on the technical / design solutions proposed.
• Close coordination with Contract / Commercial Department to keep the contractual programme updated with any ongoing claim / commercial issues.
• Preparation of Time Impact Analysis and perform forensic analysis to support the claims being submitted to the Client of received from subcontractors.
• Preparation of reports and presentations on programme matters for internal and external stakeholders.
• Attend programme and progress meetings with the Employer, subcontractors, external and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute with advice and opinions that can support the FGJV business where applicable
