The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. 

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Purpose of the Role:

This position is accountable for the day-to-day governance activities to ensure that construction activities taking place in their area of responsibility maintains a healthy and safe working environment for all personnel.

 

Qualifications:

  • Formal HS Qualifications such as Cert IV – Workplace Health & Safety or similar
  • White Card
  • C Class driver’s license

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in Healthy & Safety, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works

  • Investigation, analysis, preparation and delivery of Incident Investigation reports.
  • Exceptional knowledge and ability in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

 

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and support to the field construction team(s) to ensure compliance with statutory, FGJV and Client HS obligations.
  • Implementation of Health & Safety (HS) plans and subsidiary systems documentation;
  • Communication of HSE issues / standards;
  • Undertake, and participate in relevant, HS governance tasks as identified within the HSE Activity Schedule, including but not limited to:
    • HSSE Compliance Audits
    • Workplace Inspections
    • Emergency Drills and Exercises.
  • Collection of completed FGJV lead indicator tools.
  • Development and submission of scheduled HS reporting and analysis of performance trends.
  • HSE training and competency assessment, including onboarding and inductions.
  • Incident classification, notification, investigation, and close out of corrective actions.
  • Promote a dynamic and positive HSSE culture focused on achieving success.
  • Contribute to HSSE performance for the project, as necessary, providing coverage across both day and night shift
