The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. 

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Purpose of the Role:

To ensure timely delivery of goods by liaising with both internal and external key stakeholders, as well as to keep track of deliveries of purchase orders and the movement of materials.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Business Management or related discipline
  • White Card

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred
  • Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
  • Experience in Microsoft Office suite and SAP systems

 

Required Competencies:  

  • Sound knowledge of construction materials and strong experience within the heavy construction industry 
  • Sound understanding of local and international import / export legislation or requirements
  • Sound understanding of the NSW Government Procurement Guidelines
  • Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management.
  • Adequate knowledge about Inbound and outbound logistics/transportation and Supply Chain activities
  • Ability to understand the process of production activities
  •  
  • Language: fluent English mandatory; an additional language constitutes an advantage
  • A strong commitment to a team-based environment, with strong collaborative skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Well-developed time management skills
  • Solid technical writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent vendor communication skills and a commitment to meeting corporate deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail

 

 

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience working as a buyer in similar complex working environment
  • conduct survey activities at manufacturers premises
  • Relate positively and constructively with all other Jobsite functions, both in daily operative terms and in general process / flow / roles terms
  • Planning and monitoring inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Analysing budget, evaluating budget and processing shipments.
  • Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
  • Relate positively and constructively with all other Jobsite functions, both in daily operative terms and in general process / flow / roles terms
  • Numerical analysis and reporting as instructed by manager
