The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

Purpose of the Role:

The logistics supervisor is an individual tasked to oversee goods shipment and delivery in the job site, by organising the logistic activities including; International shipments, local shipments and custom clearance.  Supervisors manage the planning, organization, and implementation of the company's systems.

Qualifications:

  • Trade or Qualification within a relevant field of study
  • White Card
  • C Class Driver’s License

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in civil or tunnelling construction, typically 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar based role on a project of similar size and complexity
  • Experience in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording.
  • Experience in Safety, Community and Environmental Management
  • Experience in Quality Management
  • Experience in Planning & Resourcing

 

Required Competencies:  

  • Sound knowledge of local WHS standards and regulations
  • Ideally an understanding and exposure of Reverse Osmosis Plants
  • Ability to supervise team members, produce method statements and work closely with safety and other departments to control and maintain project safety standards
  • Demonstrate a positive “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams
  • Demonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving skills
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages.
  • Good communication skill, both oral and written
  • Self motivated.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Trade background
  • Ability to implement and follow through on multiple issues and to achieve productive results
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressure

  • Robust knowledge of specific technicalities of transport : means of transportation, loading/unloading, packaging, customs, documentation, fiscal elements, normative.
  • Proactivity, self-starting attitude – ability to manage independently all actions of checking and monitoring shipments, solving possible issues (commercial, administrative, documental, logistic)
  • Ability to relate positively and constructively with all other Jobsite functions, both in daily operative terms and in general process / flow / roles terms
  • Ability to operate under stress
  • High degree of precision, reliability, natural attitude to orderly and neat management, with high quality of the work
  • Standing, capacity of being credible and act effectively with all interfaces, internal (Jobsite, Company) and external (Suppliers)
  • Capacity to coordinate effectively and with common-sense multiple actors in the Logistic flow
  • Effective verbal and written communication, together with ability to provide structured operative updates and reports
  • Capacity to maintain and manage a major amount of data in a structured form, working both at granular level (specific information, specific data) and at synthetic level (KPI’s, trends, specific metrics), utilizing robust tools and methodologies
