This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

We are on the lookout for a dynamic Monitoring Surveyor to join our thriving team.  14/7 roster, charter flights available from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Purpose of the Role:

The monitoring surveyors of the project will perform the scope of the monitoring requirements and use specialised knowledge to improve the systems.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualifications or related discipline such as, advanced diploma or higher in surveying and spatial sciences
  • White Card

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred
  • Previous experience in using and diagnosing monitoring systems
  • Experience in surveying software’s including but not limited to: AutoDesk, 12D model, Leica Infinity, Mircrosurvey Starnet,
  • Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works

 

 

Required Competencies:  

  • Provision, maintenance & adjustment of Primary Survey Control Networks. 
    GPS
  • Scanning (instrumentation/software). 
  • In depth understanding of survey principles
  • Ground Settlement Monitoring (automatic & manual systems) including reporting of data
  • Good understanding of Australian and International Standards relating to concrete and earthworks
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong teaching and coaching skills
  • Ability to lead a team and develop skills
  • Ability to collaborate across technical functions, site construction engineers and external stakeholders Sound interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressure
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent safety awareness with good housekeeping habits.
  • Ability to carry out work instructions and directives to provide satisfactory outcomes.
  • Ability to work within a team environment to achieve desired results
