The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. 

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Purpose of the Role

The Legal Graduate is responsible for providing legal advice and strategy relating to contract administration, claims and procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers. The role will also include contract drafting, review, negotiations, legal research and advising on legal aspects of project delivery, liability, corporate governance and legal compliance.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in law and eligibility to hold a practising certificate in NSW (preferred), or prior experience working as a receptionist and or in a legal office.
  • White Card

Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a legal or administrative role
  • Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable project works is desirable

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Legal Counsel with legal related tasks.
  • Assist with reviewing procurement contracts and related correspondence.
  • Assis with developing and maintaining contract templates and letter templates and update the register for templates.
  • Handling office tasks and administrative duties, such as photocopying and scanning.
  • Working collaboratively with all stakeholders, providing support on relevant contract administration matters.
  • Assist the Project Legal Counsel with any disputes or SOPA claims with subcontractor or the Client.
  • Manage files and documentation effectively.
  • Assist the Project Legal Counsel in the preparation of notices and formal contract documentation.
  • Maintain a bank guarantee register.
  • Assist the Project Legal Counsel with organising and preparing for internal training sessions.
  • Prepare overview and quick reference guides to upstream and downstream contract terms.
