The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
This role is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Deliver detailed lift studies and compliance requirements of the delivery teams.
- Re-lief supervisor to cover any absences of supervision and manage the crews accordingly.
- Be proficient in AutoCAD, Excel & 3D modelling software to develop detailed lifting methodologies & spreadsheets.
- Prepare Power Point presentations with assistance from the superintendents to deliver to the client.
- Carry out site inspections, lift studies and lift planning activities.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met in lifting and engineering deliverables.
- Reviewing, implementing and managing key subcontractors for the business.
- Preparation of FGJV purchasing documents and procuring lifting equipment for the project.
- Assist with pre-qualifications, including safety compliance, quality compliance, pricing and supporting engineering documents.
- Assist with contract reviews of various types of contracts.
- Assist in preparation of drafting progress claims, supporting documents and client notices such as extension of time, variations etc.
- Support commercial budget forecasting and tracking, including monthly reviews.
- All other project commercial/contractual requirements as per FGJV contract requirements.
About you
You take a proactive approach to your work and can demonstrate a high level of initiative. In addition, you have:
- Desirable - Bachelor degree in Structural & Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role or a Project Lift Engineer looking for a FIFO role.
- Excellent attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management.
- Commercially astute with the ability to review and interpret contract requirements.
- Proven knowledge in the crane industry with longer term career development opportunities.
