The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. 

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Snowy 2.0 Project – Snowy Monaro Region

Future Generation Joint Venture, on behalf of SC Hydro Pty Ltd, is currently seeking expressions of interest for experienced Carpenters, Formworkers, Concreters, Steel Fixers, Mechanical Tradespersons and Concrete Pump Operators to join the iconic Snowy 2.0 Project in the Snowy Monaro region.

About the Project & Roster

• Major infrastructure project in a remote alpine environment
• 14:7 roster
• 12‑hour shifts
• Rotating day and night shifts
• Work in challenging conditions, including extreme cold temperatures Applicants must be comfortable working in remote locations and harsh weather conditions.

Roles Available

Carpenters (Trade Qualified)

• Tunnel structures experience including Cross passages, Transitions, Tunnel lining travellers and formwork (Doka, Peri or similar)

Formworkers / Concreters / Steel Fixers

• Multi‑skilled FRP personnel with proven tunnel structures experience and familiar with Tunnel lining travellers and formwork systems (Doka, Peri or similar)

Concrete Pump Operators

• Experience in large‑scale civil or tunnel projects preferred
• Experience with Putzmeister fixed and mobile pumps highly desirable

Mechanical Tradespersons

• Experience in large‑scale civil or tunnel projects preferred

Mandatory Requirements

To be considered, you must hold/be able to:

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (HR licence highly desirable)
• White Card (General Construction Induction)
• Full working rights in Australia
• Ability to pass a medical assessment and criminal history check
• Trade Certificate (Carpenters, Mechanical Tradespersons)
• High Risk Work Licences (Desirable -Forklift, WP, DG, PB)

• RII Qualifications Highly regarded (Wheel Loaders, Backhoes, ADT’s, Excavator’s, Telehandler’s)

• Working at Heights certification- Current
• Confined Space certification.
