The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. 

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Purpose of the Role

This role is crucial in collecting, analysing, interpreting, and transforming data into actionable insights while ensuring a high level of data quality for both internal and external reporting. Collects, analyses, and interprets health, safety, and environmental data to identify trends, ensure compliance, and support risk management by creating reports and dashboards.

The HSE Data Analyst will manage the HSE management software and its associated HR/IT interface, overseeing the monthly and quarterly data collection processes for metrics and reporting of HSE and sustainability data.

Qualifications

  • Cert IV in Business Administration or related field
  • Cert IV Workplace Health & Safety - preferred
  • White Card

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a HSE administrative role
  • Power BI Super User

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standardized processes for integrating data into the HSE management software and manage various HSE data collection platforms to maintain service customer relationships.
  • Establishing and maintaining protocols for monitoring and ensuring the integrity and transparency of data intake and validation processes is essential. In this role, the analyst will incorporate new metrics and data sources to provide a comprehensive view of HSE and sustainability performance. 
  • Conducting software training sessions, creating training content, and supporting HSE data requests will also be part of the responsibilities.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of sustainability data and invoices to identify anomalies, discrepancies, or potential errors, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all sites before sharing it with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and produce regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations to support the oversight and management of key metrics, indicators, and trends. 
  • Conduct strategic analysis of current and future HSE and sustainability data systems' needs to enhance existing data management and reporting requirements, perform ad-hoc analyses in response to inquiries, and support the team in developing risk mitigation strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Perform gap analysis and evaluate activity deficiencies.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and reporting requirements.
  • Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through presentations and written reports.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in reporting and analytics.
  • Provide administrative support as required.
  • Coordinate and track Aconex Responses to ensure timely response to Client with accurate information.
  • Maintain both electronic and hard copy filing systems to ensure proper organisation and retrieval of documents.
  • Adhere to document control requirements for HSSE-related materials.
  • Establish and maintain HSSE registers, databases, and statistical data entries.
