Brief description

General Services Trade Qualified Plumber to assist the maintenance team with the repairs & maintenance of all assets & equipment associated to camps, site offices, cribs & ablutions & common area facilities:

  • Self-Starter
  • Attention to Detail
  • General Site Maintenance across all assets and Equipment.
  • Problem solving & finding to solutions asset & equipment failures etc.

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • General maintenance of camps & site facilities including commercial kitchens and laundries
  • Fault finding
  • General maintenance and handyman duties

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIREMENT

  • At least two (2) years in a similar role
  • A valid driver s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Remote experience (preferable)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to operate in a climate of confidentiality requiring professionalism and discretion
  • Reliable and dependable attendance in a remote setting
  • Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to, drug, alcohol & fitness testing
  • Accustomed to living in dormitory style/remote camp settings
  • Current NSW Plumbers Licence - Contractors
  • A current and valid NSW Drivers Licence
  • Proven experience in maintenance servicing
  • Be available to work on call hours whilst at site
  • Other requirements for the role:
  • Working at Heights and in confined spaces  

 

 

 

  • Previous experience in domestic/commercial and catering equipment maintenance, repairs, and installation work.
  • Routine inspections on electrical systems, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Routine maintenance on plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Identify and troubleshoot breakdown faults and hazards.
  • Experience in computer-based maintenance systems (preferable)
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Current Driver’s license
  • Ability to Pass a Medical and Drug & Alcohol Test
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and solely
  • Excellent Time Management Skills
  • Dedicated commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance Policies
