Terra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.

The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.

Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.

This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.

 

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to join the Terra Verde Joint Venture. Reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent, this role will play a key part in coordinating on-site teams to ensure that mechanical, plant, and equipment activities are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards across the project.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with project requirements, industry best practice, and site management instructions.

  • Plan and coordinate day-to-day maintenance activities across all site-based mechanical assets, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

  • Work closely with the Mechanical Superintendent and Mechanical Engineers to manage spare parts, servicing schedules, and maintenance priorities for plant and equipment.

  • Identify and forecast material, tooling, and machinery requirements to support daily operations, ensuring resources are available on time and to specification.

  • Conduct inspections and maintenance safely and efficiently, ensuring all relevant maintenance records and reports are accurately completed and up to date.

  • Collaborate with Safety, Quality, and Environmental teams to ensure all mechanical operations comply with project standards and statutory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.

  • Support the continuous improvement of plant reliability and minimise maintenance-related stoppages.

  • Perform all duties in line with Terra Verde policies, processes, and procedures.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Ideally, previous experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor on a major project

  • Proven experience in successfully delivering large work packages

  • Excellent awareness of, and attitude toward Safety

  • High level verbal and written communication skills

  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions for the project

  • Effective communication and builds positive relationships with clients, project team, management, suppliers and subcontractors

  • Previous experience with budget control and site delivery management

  • Self-motivated

  • Exceptional Team Leadership skills

  • Computer literacy on MS systems & Outlook
