We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Electrical to lead the delivery of complex electrical scopes across major energy, resources, and infrastructure projects.
This role will see you responsible for overseeing electrical construction activities from site mobilisation through to commissioning and handover. You’ll play a critical leadership role ensuring safe execution, technical excellence, and on-time project delivery across high-risk environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all electrical construction activities across major project sites
- Manage supervisors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams delivering E&I works
- Oversee project execution from construction through to commissioning and energisation
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and commissioning teams
- Drive progress against schedule, proactively managing risks and constraints
- Lead shutdowns, brownfield upgrades, and critical tie-ins where required
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost controls across electrical scopes
- Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders and project leadership
- Champion a safety-first, high-performance culture on-site
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Electrical Superintendent, or Senior Project Engineer (E&I)
- Strong background in oil & gas, LNG, renewables, or heavy industrial projects
- Hands-on experience with E&I installation, commissioning, and shutdown execution
- Solid understanding of high-voltage systems, instrumentation, and control systems
- Track record delivering complex projects in live or brownfield environments
- Strong leadership capability managing large site-based teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Commercial awareness with experience managing costs and contracts
Requirements:
- Degree or trade background in Electrical Engineering or Electrical discipline
- Relevant certifications in project or construction management (advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of Australian electrical and safety standards
- Ability to travel and work across site-based environments
