About the Opportunity
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced commercial professionals within the construction and building industry who have worked on major projects with Tier 1 contractors or principal contractors.
As delivery of the Perth Women and Babies Hospital continues to progress, additional commercial opportunities are anticipated across the project, and we are looking to connect with professionals who bring strong commercial capability and proven project delivery experience.
We are particularly interested in speaking with professionals currently based in the United Kingdom and Ireland who would consider relocating to Perth, Western Australia.
You may currently be working as a:
- Senior Contracts Administrator
- Contracts Administrator
- Quantity Surveyor
- Commercial Advisor
- Contracts Advisor
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with Operating Standards throughout project delivery and ensure subcontracting standards are adhered to at all times
- Support internal stakeholders with tendering, negotiation and formation of assigned subcontracts
- Assist with the project subcontracting strategy for allocated subcontract packages
- Partner with internal management and stakeholders to review project budgets and ensure adequate allocation to subcontracts
- Effectively administer subcontracts to optimise project outcomes
- Assist with the preparation of claims and variations for adjustments to compensation and time under both head contracts and subcontracts
- Support the management and resolution of subcontractor and supplier claims in accordance with company standards
About You

You thrive in complex project environments and enjoy taking ownership of outcomes. You bring strong commercial judgement, attention to detail and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
What You Will Bring
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management, Economics or a related discipline preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and suppliers on major building, healthcare or infrastructure projects
- Experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator, Contracts Administrator, Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Advisor or Contracts Advisor
- Strong understanding of contract administration, commercial management, claims and variations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
