We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer with the specific strength in engineering of mechanical equipment to join the K2 Engineering Team in Perth! The successful applicant will understand the meaning of delivering projects free from incidents, injuries and environmental harm and delivery of high quality, on time and on budget coupled with the ability to fit in well within a multidiscipline engineering team. Someone who can work independently on small projects, and as a member of engineering teams on mid to large projects.
Clough is delivering the design and construction of the Kwinana Gas Power Generation 2 project (K2), a new 220 MW gas fired power station to be built in Kwinana, south of Perth. K2 will deliver fast start, flexible generation to provide critical backup capacity that supports the increasing application of renewable energy across Western Australia.

Your focus will include:
- Cooperate the design effort of a team to achieve satisfactory project performance
- Detailed design of mechanical equipment / packages
- Develop technical documents required for procurement
- Work with Technical Specialists to ensure specification compliance, technical integrity of design
- Commercial awareness to ensure economic and safe selection of equipment
- Liaise with Project Controls personnel
- Participation in HAZID/HAZOP, safety in design, constructability, and safety reviews
- Provide construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support
What you will bring to the team:
- Proven experience in mechanical or piping design including concept development, FEED and detail design phases
- Proven engineering experience in mechanical or piping fabrication, construction, and commissioning
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in design and integrity assessment in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, or Power Generation sectors
- Detailed design, re-design, re-rating of the mechanical equipment and/or piping, manual valves, SP Items, pipe supports, design modification, alterations to the existing plant
- Working knowledge of static equipment and / or rotating equipment for various applications
- Exposure and experience in Construction, Construction Management, Maintenance and Operations roles (greenfield and brownfield) would be well regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
