Senior Procurement Officer - Subcontracts

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Officer - Subcontracts to join the project team in the Perth office! In this role, you will effectively play a key role in the procurement of subcontract works for the delivery of the project. The position will include, but not limited to, conducting market survey, comparing the technical and commercial Submissions and manage the tenders and suppliers to find the best technical and economical proposal for what is best for project. The resource will discuss with the Procurement Manager beforehand to issue any orders and will send orders to the suppliers. Support the Project meeting the overall procurement to deliver value, reduce risk and enhance quality of services provided to all stakeholder of the procurement process.

Your focus will include:

 

  • Responsible for the sourcing of various subcontract works/requirements/packages.
  • Ensures that all procurement processes adhere to group policies and procedures, meet project requirements.
  • Process all the assigned requisitions.
  • Prepares of bid evaluations, negotiating with supplier purchase order and formalizing agreements.
  • Complies with Webuild Group policies and procedures as amended from time to time
  • Supports the Commodity Manager to define the strategy.

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Specialist Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred
  • Experience in operating a procurement process – end to end.
  • Knowledge and experience with contemporary procurement systems, preferably SAP
  • Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works with sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
