The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world. 

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Are you an experienced commercial professional ready to lead on one of Australia’s most ambitious infrastructure projects? FGJV is seeking a Commercial Lead to manage contract administration and commercial governance at our Lobs Hole site, operating on a 14/7 FIFO/DIDO roster.

About the Role

As the Commercial Lead, you will oversee the contractual management of upstream and downstream contracts, ensuring compliance, performance, and strategic alignment with project goals. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive commercial success across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage head contract and subcontract claims, variations, and final accounts.
  • Lead procurement and negotiation of civil, engineering, supply, and construction contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with contract law, project deed requirements, and relevant regulations.
  • Provide commercial reporting, forecasting, and analysis to support project delivery.
  • Oversee site-based commercial teams, including performance and task allocation.
  • Support and train commercial staff while fostering collaborative stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Law, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years in contracts administration with a Tier 1 construction contractor.
  • Experience in heavy infrastructure, power plants, or tunnelling (10+ years desirable).
  • Strong understanding of contract law, construction standards, and commercial governance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication and analytical skills.
