We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our growing team, supporting a major infrastructure project and partnering with Project Management and Project Controls to drive cost performance, reporting, and financial outcomes across the project lifecycle.

 

The Role:

 

  • Providing high level cost control, forecasting and reporting support across projects, ensuring accurate tracking of performance and proactive management of cost and schedule outcomes.
  • Drive integrated cost control processes across systems including Primavera, Envision and Prism, working closely with planning functions to ensure alignment across cost, schedule and progress measurement.
  • Work with Project Management teams to establish clear cost tracking structures, including packaging, forecasting, and performance measurement against baseline.
  • Partner with Project Managers and package owners to support accountability across cost and schedule updates, forecasts and change management.
  • Develop and deliver project and division reporting, with a focus on performance trending, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Support the development of project procedures, execution plans and management of change processes.
  • Coordinate and support cost control activities across project teams, including reporting cycles and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide analysis and insights into project performance, including weekly and monthly reporting, S-curves, productivity and cost trends.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of contract scope, commercial frameworks and execution strategies to support cost management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of cost control systems, processes and reporting practices.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, supporting proactive mitigation strategies across project delivery.

 

About You:

 

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across project and functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of cost control principles and their impact on project performance and outcomes.
  • Analytical and detail oriented, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Experience working within project environments, with exposure to cost tracking, forecasting and reporting.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and respond to changing project requirements.
  • Proactive and solutions-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • 3+ years’ experience in cost control and/or project controls.
  • Experience working within project execution environments, ideally across engineering, construction or infrastructure.
  • Understanding of project lifecycles, commercial models and delivery frameworks.
  • Experience working with cost control and planning systems (e.g. Primavera, Prism, Envision or similar).
  • Strong skills in Excel and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and support project delivery outcomes.
